Mesothelium is a membrane that protects many of the internal organs of the body, Creates a bag that completely includes the device, The Mesothelium consists of two layers of cells with a fluid between them.

Mesothelium helps to prevent damage to protected organs (such as the heart and lungs) due to friction caused by the natural rhythm of organs adjacent to each other, The mesothelium covers the internal organs and the medial dorsal covers the molecules of the body.

Mesothelium are classified as different names depending on the location in the body:

  • Brittonian: Abdominal cavity devices
  • Gnome membrane: Lungs and chest wall lining
  • Pericardium: Heart
  • Tunica Vaginalis Testis: Mention of internal genitals
  • Tunica Serosa Uteri: Female internal genitalia

Malignant mesothelioma:

mesothelioma is a cancer that affects mesothelium, Malignant mesothelioma where malignant cells develop on the mesothelium, Most cases of malignant mesothelioma begin in the gland membrane (lungs and wall wall lining) or peritoneum (abdominal cavity devices), Cancer cells can spread from their original location to other tissues and organs.

There are two types of malignant mesothelioma classification:

The translator (phase I), the cancer, is only present on the surface of the original membrane.

Phase one: It’s usually on the chest wall, It can also be found in the lung lining, diaphragm, or cyst covering the heart on the same side of the chest.

Advanced (phase II, phase III, stage IV) Cancer extended beyond the original membrane surface to other parts of the body.

Phase two: Cancer is also present in the lymph nodes on the same side of the chest.

Phase three: The secret spread to the chest wall, the surface of the fairway, the heart, the post-barrier, and/or the  drainage, Cancer may also spread to the lymph nodes on the other side of the chest or outside the chest.

Phase 4: Cancer spreads to distant organs or tissues.

Around 2,0000 new cases of mesothelioma are diagnosed in the United States each year, Mesothelioma occurs more often in men than in women and increases in risk as they age, but this disease can appear in men or women of any age.

Main Reasons:

Asbestos exposure: One of the main risk factors for developing mesothelioma is working with and around asbestos, Most cases of mesothelioma are related to the date of exposure to asbestos.

Many staff members are not aware of the exposure risks they face on a daily basis when dealing with asbestos-containing materials, Some of the most common industrial products include cement, brake linings, roof panels, floor products, textiles, and insulation.

Asbestos dust particles can be released into the air, inhaled or ingested without realisation, The increased risk of developing mesothelioma has been found among shipbuilders, miners, mills, manufacturing plants, and the construction industry.

To help prevent exposure to asbestos-containing materials, the United States Department of Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) sets limits on acceptable levels of exposure to asbestos in the workplace, People working with asbestos must use protective equipment to reduce exposure risks.

Although longer exposure to asbestos has been found to be most at risk of mesothelioma, short exposures have also been known to cause mesothelioma, Family members living with asbestos workers also have an increased risk of developing mesothelioma, due to exposure to dust on the clothing and hair of asbestos workers.

Symptoms of mesothelioma may occur shortly after exposure to asbestos or as long as 50 years after exposure, If you have any of the following symptoms and you have increased risk of mesothelioma from current or past exposure to asbestos, contact a doctor who immediately qualifies for an occupational diagnosis.
